Welcome to a short briefing in STI - Tournament Rules!
Standard settings
Game pace: Faster
Game Mode: See Tournament Info. (Normally 1v1)
Starting Map: See Tournament Info. (Normally Lost Temple)
Before the tournament
The tournaments first stage is to have players sign up and confirm their attendance. You sign up by using the form found on the website. (Quick-link: here!)
Please note that by signing up for a tournament you are accepting these rules. Please make sure you have read and understood everything before signing up for a tournament.
When signing up please use an e-mail adress you check frequently. To be able to confirm your tournament attendance we need to contact you via mail. All players who are selected to partake in events must confirm their interest and spots by responding to confirmation emails that are sent to the adress you signed up with. People who fail to respond will eventually get replaced.
Admin will arrange opponents in a way so that players will get an opponent with a similar skill level, set date of game and reveal the schedule on the website. If the time/date you are given doesn't suit you just contact us and suggest a new time.
During the tournament
At the date of game, competitors and spectators will arrive before the starting time of the game. Everyone is welcome to spectate the games, but there's a limit of 20 spectator. In certain cases we might prioritize members over other spectators.
It is very possibly that we sometime in the future disable the possibility of spectators and instead stream matches live on the website, but we'll take that up when we get there
Competitors must report in 10 minutes before start! Being in time is important! The matches are meant to start EXACTLY as planned on the schedule. Players who are late will suffer set losses, one loss for each 5th minute that they are late. For instance if a player is 5 minutes late the opponent will get a 1-0 lead. 10 minutes late = 2-0 advantage to the other player, etc.
During the games the people who are playing must have their status set to Busy. This is to avoid people writing in-game to the players who are currently playing.
At all times, an admin/referee has unquestionable authority. Racism, foul language, personal threats, bullying, cheating, ghosting and similar actions will be punished severley with a permanent or time limited ban!
Some additional info
- Players must stick to the race that they signed up with for the entire tournament.
- In case of a disconnect, the player who DC:ed will suffer a loss IF the match lasted longer than 5 minutes, otherwise rematch.
- The better you respect and follow the rules the better for the community and the more likely you are to be prioritized in future events.
Good Luck!
